UPPER SCHOOL NEWS
Jenny Cheatham, Head of Upper School
Shelton’s seniors marked their final year
with traditions that celebrated school
spirit and lasting memories. The Class of
2025 kicked off the year with The Last
First Day of School on Aug. 15, 2024. At
the annual Senior Hero ceremony, each
student recognized a mentor who had
made a meaningful impact. Homecoming
Week brought energy to campus with
themed Dress-Out Days, while Senior Rally
Days united the class in spirited games and
competitions. Through the Adopt-a-Senior program, seniors
built connections with younger students, modeling leadership
and friendship. As the year drew to a close, students who
finished in the top 10 in the
class attended a breakfast
with their families. Students
in the class gathered for
Shred Day to decorate
old uniforms, joined the
Senior Walk at Mayfest
and capped it all off with
graduation on May 17, 2025.
