• The Charger Daily News is produced daily in the film studio
and editing rooms.
• Upper School film students hosted the 2025 Shelton Film
Festival at Studio Movie Grill-Spring Valley in early May.
More than 20 films were screened in a full house of movie
theater patrons.
• Band and Drumline students continue to enjoy the spacious
Schmidt Family Band Hall, where they rehearse for
performances at pep rallies, sports
games and Grandparents’ Day.
Their fall concert, featuring more
than 140 band students, was
performed Dec. 12 in the large
gym. The spring band concert was
held May 1 and again showcased
more than 140 band students from
grades four through 12.

In addition, the following students will pursue
Fine Arts in college:
Vocal Charge, the Upper School Choir, held a fall concert in
mid-October, featuring traditional concert music and debuting
their new formal concert attire. Vocal Charge also sang holiday
selections live on WRR radio in early December. Their spring choir
concert was held April 30 in the Black Box Theatre and featured
songs from around the world, with student singers in costumes to
enhance the experience.
- Liam Christensen: the Dodge Film School
at Chapman University in Orange, Calif., to study
film and television production
- Nate Milhizer: Belmont University in Nashville,
Tenn., for a degree in music performance
- Kate Williams: Belmont University in Nashville,
Tenn., for a degree in visual art
Lower School students in grades three and four in art,
music and drama ended each rotation with a showcase
for parents highlighting their work. Fine Arts students
in Early Childhood through second grade combined to
perform the Lower School Spectacular in April 2025.
The performances included song, dance and comedy
skits by our youngest Fine Arts students.
