SUMMER, THE SHELTON WAY 2025
Shelton School concluded another successful session of
Summer, The Shelton Way, held June 9-27, 2025, providing
students with a fun and enriching experience. From Early
Childhood through 12th grade, participants engaged in a wide
range of offerings. Whether strengthening academic skills or
discovering new interests, students immersed themselves in
activities such as academic courses, sports camps, fine arts,
LEGO and Makerspaces classes and the always-popular Drone
Flying class.
The success of Shelton’s Summer School was largely due to
the exceptional leadership of Director of Shelton Auxiliary
Programs Sara Brown, Summer School Coordinator for Lower
School Tabitha Valdez, Summer School Coordinator of Middle
and Upper Schools Dr. Samantha Cason, and Scholars Director
Jessica Newman. Thanks to their dedication and coordination,
the program saw an impressive 714 registrations, supported by
a strong team of 92 teachers and 14 assistants.
Summer school teachers, division heads, assistant heads,
coaches and staff all worked to make the program a
meaningful and enriching experience for the students.
Additionally, SAGE provided delicious summer lunches that
kept everyone fueled for their busy days of learning.
With the conclusion of the summer program, Shelton
welcomed students back for Back-to-School Prep Week, which
ran from July 28 to Aug. 1, 2025. This transition week gave
students the opportunity to reconnect with their peers, get
familiar with their new schedules and prepare mentally and
academically for the school year ahead.
