The 2024-2025 Shelton
Parents’ Association led a year
focused on building strong
community connections through
engaging events and purposeful
contributions. Events included the
Back-to-School Dads’ BBQ, New
Parent Dinner, Boots and Bling, the
Parent Mixer, Food Trucks, Book
Fair, Lunch with Dads and the new
Moms’ Mahjong among many more.
Weekly e-communication of the SPA events was featured
in The Scoop, posted by Corrie Shores. In addition,
the SPA supported Shelton’s teachers and staff during
Thankful Thursdays and Teacher Appreciation Week.
Thanks to Holiday Happiness contributions totaling
$128,000 from parents, teachers and staff received
generous direct deposit payments. Thank you to the SPA
Holiday Happiness Co-Chairs Chuck Marlett and
Renee Jansen.
One of the most ambitious achievements this year was the
Stampede Auction. Thanks to the leadership of Auction
Co-Chairs Lindsey Sherry and Carolyn Strickfaden and
Director of Volunteer Relations & Events Shelly Lloyd, the
Stampede was a magnificent evening. Attendees enjoyed
the event with “Saved by the Stampede” as a theme.
At the End-of-Year Breakfast, the SPA presented a
check for a record $930,000 to Shelton Executive
Director Suzanne Stell. We are grateful to our wonderful
Shelton parents!

They presented a check for $930,000 to Shelton Executive
Director Suzanne Stell at the SPA End-of-the-Year Luncheon
on May 14.
