Daniel Marks (Class of 2005):
Founder Of Car Dorx
Cole Reiser: UC Berkeley Graduate
and Financial Adviser
Daniel Marks earned a degree in
Entrepreneurship and Finance from
the University of North Texas and
went on to found Car Dorx, a social
advertising agency serving franchise
automotive dealerships. He is also
active in the decentralized finance
and crypto space, advocating for
blockchain-driven innovation.
Cole Reiser, who attended Shelton
from third through eighth grade,
earned a Bachelor of Science in
Political Economics from University of
California-Berkeley, where he was also
a two-time National Champion rower.
Today, he is a partner and financial
adviser at RoundTable Associates, a
wealth management group at Northwestern Mutual.
“Shelton taught me that being different is not just
OK — it’s an advantage.”

Reiser says. “Being able to offer wise financial counsel during
times like this is incredibly important to me.”
Harper McKenzie (Class of 2017):
Program Coordinator at Syracuse University
Harper McKenzie earned a Bachelor’s
degree in Creative Writing and Disability
Studies from Emerson College and a
Master’s in Higher Education at Syracuse
University. She recently became
program coordinator at the Syracuse
University Disability Cultural Center.
The role builds on her practicum with
the Office of Student Living and her
capstone project in higher education. “I didn’t always think
my career in student affairs would be possible, but HED
showed me it is when you and the people around you decide
it will be,” McKenzie says. “I was lucky to go through this
program with people who believed in my worth and wanted
me to belong, even if the existing ways weren’t built for me.”
Andrew Redd (Class of 2017):
Venture Metals + Buyer/Account Manager
Andrew Redd graduated from Indiana University with a
degree in Media Management, Industry and Policy and a
minor in Business. He now works as a Buyer and Account
Manager for Venture Metals +, a global scrap metal recycling
company.
“We are making a direct impact on the
environmental health of communities
around the world, and that is
something I am extremely passionate
about.”
Kaitlyn Waters (Class of 2019):
Project Engineer Pursuing Her Master’s
Kaitlyn Waters earned a Bachelor of
Science in Architectural Engineering
from the University of Texas at Austin
in 2023 and is now pursuing her
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
at Georgia Tech. She works full time
as a Project Engineer at EM Structural
in Atlanta, focusing on the structural
design of mid-rise apartment
buildings.
“One thing that inspires me about my work is the problem
solving — figuring out the best solution for the building
structurally while also trying to minimize cost for the
owners.”
Meili West (Class of 2014):
Senior HR Operations Specialist
at Whole Foods
Meili West earned a Bachelor of
Business Administration with a minor
in Communication from St. Edward’s
University and now works as a Senior
HR Operations Specialist at Whole
Foods Market Headquarters in Austin.
She also holds certifications in HR
management and digital communications.
“Providing resources, knowledge, tools — or even just
pointing employees in the right direction to get answers to
their HR questions — motivates me to do my best every day
at work.”
