Speech-Language Therapy & Programs
iSocialize – Social Language Groups
iSocialize is a group therapy class targeting improvement of social skills for young students by teaching the concepts
of Social Thinking® developed by Garcia-Winner. Social thinking is a necessary precursor to the use of social skills.
For many, this is an intuitive process, but for others it is anything but natural. Often, intelligent, language-proficient
students struggle to learn the nuances of social communication and interaction. This class teaches perspective taking
(Theory of Mind), how our own minds work, how behavior affects the way others respond, listening skills, eye contact,
joining a group, making conversation, reading nonverbal cues and more. Therapy sessions are led by licensed and
certified speech pathologists who have received training in Social Thinking.
