Scholars for ages 7 – 18 years old
Scholars is a remedial reading, writing and spelling program for
individuals with learning differences. Each student is placed into
small groups and receives two hours of tutoring by a trained
paraprofessional and one hour of small group auditory discrimination
training. All new students entering the Scholars program must be
pre-screened prior to the start of the program for accurate placement.
Screenings will need to be administered prior to the start of the
program. At the completion of the program, parents will receive a
checklist of skills introduced, student’s strengths and goals.
*Session 2 is for current Scholars students only, no new registrations
will be accepted.
Registration and Fees
• Register online at: www.shelton.org/summerschool. Your registration
must be completed in one sitting and will take approximately 15
minutes. Incomplete registrations will not be saved. You will receive
a confirmation email after registration. Please check your junk mail
folder. Payment is due upon registration.
• Returning Scholars Students: Register online early to assure your
place, as space is limited.
Registration fee includes benchmarking, informal report, and a parent
session on the overview of learning differences and the SEE program.
A 50% discount is offered to parents who would like to take the twoday training and tutor in the program.

Refund Policy
For cancellations received on or before May 1, fees will be refunded,
less 10%. Cancellations received between
May 2 – May 31, fees will be refunded less 50%.
No refunds will be given for cancellations after May 31.
Holidays
There will be no Scholars on June 19th.
