Book Report Writing Lab
Grade 4
Book Report Writing Lab is a dynamic, hands-on summer class that turns required reading into an
engaging learning experience. With the book provided, students will complete all summer assignment
requirements while strengthening key comprehension skills like Shelton novel coding, summarizing,
predicting, inferring, and visualizing and verbalizing. Through guided discussion and strategy-based
practice, students will deepen their understanding, build confidence, and make meaningful connections to
the text. Students will also design a creative visual prop to showcase their learning—making it a fun,
memorable way to celebrate summer reading and check this task off the list. The book and all supplies will
be provided.
Students missing more than two days will be required to do outside work to complete all book report
requirements.
