MATHEMATICS CONTINUED
CALCULUS HONORS
This is an introductory course in differential and
integral Calculus with elementary functions.
Successful students are those with strong problemsolving skills with a solid foundation in Algebra.
Significant outside-of-class preparation is required.
Topics are presented using graphical, numerical,
algebraic, and verbal approaches with an emphasis on
the use of appropriate technology.

STATISTICS HONORS
The Statistics course is a year-long, collegepreparatory mathematics Honors class designed
around the AP Statistics curriculum framework.
Students will develop advanced reasoning skills based
on probability, data analysis, and statistical inference,
preparing them to cope with uncertainty and make
informed decisions in modern society. The course
emphasizes interactive, thought-provoking learning,
pushing students to think critically about data
collection, analysis, and interpretation. Students will
engage with both graphical and numerical techniques,
simulations, and real-world applications.

PERSONAL FINANCE
This course covers different investments, such as
stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, basic tax regulations,
income-tax returns, how to complete tax-related
documents, personal budgeting, check writing,
balancing checkbooks, and understanding different
banking options. Terminology in all areas is reinforced
and assessed regularly. Students are expected to
complete various independent and group-related
projects to explore the concepts further.
