PHOTOGRAPHY I
This is an introductory course that familiarizes beginning photographers
with the basics of photography from visual, aesthetic and technical
viewpoints. The course fosters an understanding of digital photographic
tools. Students are introduced to digital photographic techniques and
new digital technologies.
Grade Level: 9, 10, 11, 12

PHOTOGRAPHY II
Photography II is designed to deepen students’
understanding and practice of photography beyond
the basics. This course refines students’ technical
skills, enhances their artistic expression, and broadens
their knowledge of photographic genres. Students
explore advanced camera settings, lighting techniques,
and composition to create compelling images. The
curriculum focuses on post-processing, developing
thematic projects, and constructing a portfolio. This
dynamic program is ideal for students looking to
pursue photography at a more advanced level.

ART I — INTRODUCTION TO VISUAL ART
This class covers the basic elements and principles of design and serves as a
foundation for future art classes. Students learn that artistic skills can be learned
and are not simply innate talents. Emphasis is placed on building confidence
through skill development. Each unit includes instruction, practice activities, a
major project, a critique of students’ works, and a written test. Two-dimensional
and three-dimensional media are introduced, including drawing, painting,
sculpture, ceramics, and collage. Emphasis is placed on appreciating diversity in
art and evaluating the art of students, professionals, and masters.
